Sharpie Show detail
One of my (rejected, I think, not sure yet) drawings for Bwana Spoon's Sharpie Show, opening July 7 at Reading Frenzy. I like the idea of the a closeup of his head with hummingbirds sticking out it more. (The theme is male pattern baldness and hummingbirds..)

REJECTED??? This makes what *I* drew for that show look like total pieces of SHIT! I can't even post them anymore. AGGGGUGGUUGGHHHH!
Whatever, it's dorky, isn't it? I like the color combinations (the tops of the trees turned out nicely too with a nice green on that brown), but the drawing.. I dunno. I guess I might just do the two 4x6" cards and do the hummingbirds-in-the-head idea there.
Like crayons, sharpies are all about color combinations. They get way more interesting when you do some sort of hatching combining colors.

seems like the male pattern baldness is definately your forte...i, on the other hand am a little rusty.
i got excited about the patterns part of it and forgot what the theme was.
nate burazer and i did a few pieces as a collaboration and we had no clue.
